Murphy Hall and South Campus
Established in 1967, Becket Hall was run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester. It was the home of the Basilian priests who taught at Fisher, as well as a seminary for men studying to be Diocesan priests. Sold to the institution in 1981, the building was dedicated and renamed Murphy Hall in honor of Rev. John Murphy, the first president of Fisher.
Dugan Yard, also located on the south campus, is the home to the St. John Fisher University baseball program. Dugan Yard was funded by a gift from Kevin Dugan and opened in the spring of 2001. The field is dedicated to the memory of his father, Donald M. Dugan, who was an avid baseball fan. In 2003, the softball field complex, adjacent to Dugan Yard, opened.
