Wegmans School of Nursing
What started as an Alfred University Nursing Program branch on campus in 1977 became an official program at the institution in 1991. Today, home to seven programs (undergraduate and graduate level), the Wegmans School of Nursing was created in 2006 after an $8 million gift from Robert Wegman, and the building opened for students in September 2007.
The School launched an online RN to BSN in 2012 (the institution's first fully online program). The Glover-Crask Simulation Center, a 10,400-square foot space that mirrors a hospital unit, opened in 2013. The School now offers graduate programs including M.S. in Nursing, M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
