Complete an Ethics course, PHI 108, and additional liberal arts courses (mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and foreign language) to reach a total minimum of 60 liberal arts hours. Application to Begin the Clinical Year
Priority review of completed nursing applications begins April 1. Applicants enrolled in participating 2+2 nursing programs must have all documentation submitted no later than April 1 if applying to begin the program in the fall. All other applicants will be reviewed on a space-available basis for fall and alternatively for the spring semester. Review of completed applications will continue for both the fall and spring semesters as capacity allows.
- Students applying to the clinical portion of the program must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75.
- Grade of C or higher required in each of the seven nursing prerequisite courses listed above and cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher.
- Ethics, with a grade of C or higher, must be completed prior to beginning the program.
- Note: Cumulative GPA is calculated using all undergraduate college-level course work.
- Score 84% or higher on the Math Assessment Level A exam (two attempts allowed).
2+2 Nursing Admission Information:
If enrolled in the formal 2+2 agreement between St. John Fisher University and Onondaga Community College, the 2+2 applicant must submit a transfer application a least one semester before intended enrollment and meet the guidelines above for guaranteed acceptance.
