World Hijab Day
World Hijab Day is observed every year on February 1st to honor Muslim women who wear the hijab.
Date:
Wednesday, February 1, 2023
Time: Noon - 4 p.m.
Location:
Campus Center Atrium
It is also a day to urge women of various origins and beliefs to try on the hijab and see what it is like to wear it. This is a significant day for both hijab-wearing women; as it gives Muslim women the chance to educate the world about the hijab and their choice in wearing it, and non-Muslim women to be educated and have a better understanding of what the hijab represents and why it is important in Islam.
