The MBA Accounting program prepares you for a career in both public and private accounting. As the field of accounting continues to evolve, due to changes in the regulatory environment, expansion of commercial business, and increased financial controls, professional accountants have highly specialized roles responsible to numerous constituents. The Fisher program prepares you with the skills you need to enter the accounting profession. Prior to enrolling, you must have completed the equivalent of an undergraduate degree in accounting, as the program prepares you to meet the educational requirements for CPA licensure in New York State.

Each year, all Big four and numerous regional firms recruit Fisher students for local, regional, and national positions in public accounting. Additionally, you'll have access to many other career opportunities for aspiring accountants outside of public accounting.

General Management Concentration

Fisher's MBA prepares you to be an industry leader across multiple sectors.

The MBA General Management concentration prepares you for careers across all industries and business sectors. As business is ever-evolving and means of communication continue to change, our program prepares you to thrive and adapt to shifting environments. Through courses with an emphasis on communication, negotiation, financial management, marketing, and leadership development, you will further develop the skills and knowledge to become a high-quality candidate in a variety of fields.

With a globally diverse and experienced faculty, you will be mentored by leaders who bring a variety of theoretical and practical business perspectives.

Among graduates of the MBA Class of 2020, 100% have reported satisfaction with the Fisher Experience and that their respective outcome is related to their career goals. Further, 95% of the class is employed or continuing their education.

Health Services Management Concentration

Fisher's MBA Health Services concentration gives you the skills you need to succeed in the health care industry.

The MBA Health Services Management is a cooperative program, offered in collaboration with the Wegmans School of Nursing. You will access select coursework in Fisher's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), enriching the dynamic classroom experience while building a greater network with healthcare professionals.

Coursework in this concentration will help you develop advanced leadership skills necessary to meet the challenges of increasingly complex health care organizations. You will develop the necessary skills to function in interdisciplinary teams to meet the health care needs of individuals and populations. The coursework will also focus on ethical theories, legal and practice standards, and advocacy considerations for decision-making in health care issues. Within the program, contemporary technological information systems used in healthcare will also be covered.

Pharmaceutical Industry Concentration

Fisher's MBA prepares you for leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry and related fields.

The MBA Pharmaceutical Industry concentration is a cooperative program, offered in collaboration with the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at Fisher. The program will provide you with the skills and experience needed to assume management and sales positions within the pharmaceutical industry. As a student in this program, you will have to access select coursework in the Pharm.D. program, enriching the dynamic classroom experience while connecting you with a network with other professionals within the pharmaceutical field.
