12/08/2025 - As finals week approached at St. John Fisher University, students had a new way to relax and unwind, thanks to their classmates in the Media Relations course who organized a calming, community-centered event, “Cats and Coffee,” inviting the entire University to take a break from the pressures of exam season.
12/05/2025 - Students in the School of Business at St. John Fisher University recently applied classroom concepts to real-world business environments through community-engaged learning projects in Fairport. Partnering with small, owner-operated businesses, students in Professor Amy Valente’s Buyer Behavior course analyzed customer behavior, marketing strategies, and store operations, then provided actionable recommendations to support business growth.
12/04/2025 - Dr. Michelle Laura Flood, assistant professor of practice in the Department of Media and Communication, recently published articles that explore celebrity feminism and pop culture issues.
12/04/2025 - Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are encouraged to apply for the 2026 Fisher Flight Program, a high-impact career immersion experience set to launch in Charlotte, North Carolina, from April 15–17, 2026. This annual experience is led by Career Services and the Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement.
12/03/2025 - Earlier this month, the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement hosted a two-day workshop, Teaching Social Action, which brought together 15 faculty members from 12 regional institutions.
12/02/2025 - This November, several St. John Fisher University mock trial teams competed in the first annual Buffalo Bullpen competition hosted by the University at Buffalo Mock Trial Association and the Annual Yellowjacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester Mock Trial. Both are fellow chapters of the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA).
12/01/2025 - A new scholarship for undergraduate nursing students in the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University will create transformational opportunities for the next generation of nurses by meeting full annual costs for students over the course of their academic careers.
11/28/2025 - This fall, students enrolled in NURS 301: Population Health & Wellness I are extending their learning far beyond the Fisher classroom. Led by Joy Hogan, visiting assistant professor, and Dr. Liz Dollinger, visiting instructor, the course integrates community-engaged learning with hands-on service, connecting nursing students to local organizations experiencing high volunteer demand.
11/26/2025 - Sara Mancini-Goebert, director of pastoral care and interfaith engagement, and Deacon Jonathan Schott ’02, director of campus ministry programs, will share the work of today's Office of Campus Ministry during the December First Friday Lecture.
11/26/2025 - The St. John Fisher University campus community were welcomed by Fisher Dining to a special themed dinner celebrating classic Americana dining on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
