Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor

Prepare for startup creation and growth in the modern business landscape through hands-on, real-world experiences that help you identify and evaluate entrepreneurial business opportunities.

Through the Fisher entrepreneurship and innovation minor, you will gain an edge in business planning skills with an entrepreneurial mindset. This minor allows you to complement your major with strategic knowledge to launch and grow a startup, manage finances, and innovate to turn challenges into opportunities.

The entrepreneurship and innovation minor consists of 18 credits designed to develop a solid understanding of entrepreneurship principles, small business management, and the skills needed to launch and sustain a startup while navigating the financial landscape. 

Two elective courses in the minor allow you to enhance your ability to address the diverse challenges of entrepreneurship as a leader. Choose from a wide range of course topics that include digital marketing, lean startup methodologies, entrepreneurial finance, legal considerations, family business dynamics, and scaling strategies.

You’ll have the chance to engage in experiential learning opportunities through business pitch competitions and real-world projects with local businesses. The minor in entrepreneurship and innovation is available to all majors at Fisher.
