Research
Students can conduct research with faculty and/or build relationships with local, national, and international companies to gain valuable experience beyond campus.

- Investigation of higher education sustainability outcomes of the University
- The effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on various aspects of animal biology
- Waste-to-energy education using biodiesel

Service Projects
Sustainability service projects can help you give back to your community, or give you an opportunity to support a global community in need. Past projects include:
- Local beach cleanups
- Cataloging native species in Monroe County
- Hurricane recovery work in the U.S. Virgin Islands
Capstone Experience
The 145-hour service-learning experience will have students apply what they have learned in the major to a project addressing a specific community need. This experience will blend aspects of research, learning, internship, and service through collaborations with organizations in the Rochester community and beyond.
