02/13/2025 - Three gifts to St. John Fisher University totaling more than $700,000 will enrich Fisher’s Urban Scholarship. Launched in 2020, the $40,000 scholarship is available to students enrolling in the University who resides in the City of Rochester. Since its inception, the Urban Scholars Program has helped to increase the number of students from the city of Rochester benefiting from a Fisher education.

Out of the Darkness Campus Walk Brings Suicide Awareness to Light Students at the 2024 Out of the Darkness Walk.

02/07/2025 - St. John Fisher University will once again host the annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The walk, now in its ninth year at Fisher, is designed to engage college students in the fight to prevent suicide and support mental health awareness.

02/06/2025 - The Interdisciplinary Arts program will present the inaugural One-Act Play Festival at St. John Fisher University. The festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22 in the Black Box Theater at the Arts Center at Murphy Hall.

DePeters Center Shares AI Expertise in the Community Katie Sabourin

02/04/2025 - Katie Sabourin, assistant vice president for digital learning, along with staff members from Fisher’s DePeters Family Center for Innovative and Teaching Excellence have delivered several community presentations about artificial intelligence. The staff at the center have made AI, especially generative AI, a focus since late 2022 when ChatGPT 3.5 was released.
