Bio
With a doctoral degree in sociology, Baronov has written several books and articles on globalization and race relations, as well as the labor movement in America. His research over the past 15 years has concerned a variety of themes and topics pertaining to the historical social sciences in general and world-systems analysis in particular. Such topics include African pluralistic medicine, AIDS in Puerto Rico, slavery in Brazil, and urban education systems. He is a member of the American Sociological Association and the International Sociological Association. Baronov has been quoted in several articles, including a Rochester Democrat and Chronicle article on the issue of social segregation among youths, and occasionally writes opinion pieces on such topics.
