Bio
Named a "Mover and Shaker" in the library industry by the national publication, Library Journal, Jadlos has served as director of Lavery Library since 2006, and is an expert in library management.
In her nearly 10 years at Fisher, she has expanded the library staff, advocated for a new Integrated Library System, arranged direct ordering through Amazon to take advantage of its two-day turnaround, and contracted with Better World Books, among other initiatives. Her expertise in library management also extends to organizational efficiency, and she restructured the library budget by bringing together print and electronic resources, eliminating duplication and expanding the collection of journals and databases from 9,000 titles and 31 databases to 50,000 titles and 120 databases.
In 2011, she secured a $200,000 grant from the Booth Ferris Foundation to construct a Learning Commons at the library. The 3,000 square foot space is a one-stop shop for learning, writing, research, pedagogy, and technology support, located on the library’s main floor.
Jadlos has a master’s in library science from the University of Maryland at College Park. She has held several leadership positions in New York State academic libraries, and started her career at the National Agricultural Library as a Germanic languages librarian.
