Bio
With more than 20 years of experience in the education field, Erklenz-Watts can discuss issues of diversity in education, urban elementary special education, social justice education, and professionalism in the teaching field. She has published research in journals including the Journal of College Science Teaching and College Teaching, and has presented at national conferences for the American Education Research Association and the Association of Childhood Education International. She has served as chair of the undergraduate program and director of the graduate program at the School of Education. Previously, she worked as a special education teacher in the Rochester City School District.
