Accounting Students, Alumni Meet, Greet, and Bowl
On Friday, Sept. 20, the St. John Fisher College Accounting Club hosted its annual networking event at Oak Hill Country Club. The experience allows accounting majors to meet and get to know accounting alumni, as well as recruiters from national and regional accounting firms and area corporations.
“This activity is one of the things that makes St. John Fisher College’s accounting program special,” said program alumna Cheryl Yawman. “Building relationships ahead of the recruiting season helps put students at ease when they meet recruiters and allows accounting firms to get to know students in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.”
Professor Hugh Lambert agreed. “Last year, a student met her future employer at this event. The alumni and recruiters enjoy coming here and we appreciate them taking time out of their busy schedules to get acquainted with our accounting majors,” he said.
