New Exhibit, “Change How You See, See How You Change,” Opens

A new art exhibit at St. John Fisher College celebrates the one year anniversary of the launch of the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at the Wegmans School of Nursing.

The exhibit, “Change How You See, See How You Change: Redefining the art gallery, the artist and art,” opened to the public on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery located in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center.

Working in collaboration with Fisher alumna Debra Salmon, foundation vice president for the Al Sigl Community of Agencies, the exhibit features work by Rick Guidotti, Elroy Blue, and Taylor Hale.

Rick Guidotti, an internationally recognized fashion photographer, celebrates human
diversity through still images of beauty. Using the medium of fine art photography, Guidotti focuses his camera on people who have traditionally not been included as models. The images in the show are from a photo shoot at the George Eastman House and are part of Guidotti’s “Positive Exposures” initiative. Paintings by Blue and Hale, who have connections to Al Sigl, are also included.

There will be an Artist’s Reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Art Gallery that is free and open to the public.
