Computer Science Club Participates in Competition
In October, members of the Computer Science Club participated in the CyberSEED 2019 Cyber Security Competition and Conference. This was the first time Fisher students participated in a competition of this magnitude, where typical competitors represent schools like MIT, John Hopkins University, and Georgia Tech.
The contest consisted of solving rapidly presented cyber security problems for student teams to solve in order to earn points. The annual event was sponsored this year by Synchrony Financial and Banking Services as well as other sponsor participants.
Alec Berenbaum, visiting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, led the Fisher team. He said the students found the experience fun and educational, and they are looking forward to similar upcoming events.
