Wegmans School of Nursing Recognized by Education Consortium
The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC), a partnership between the American Association of Colleges of Nurses and the City of Hope, in Duarte, California, included St. John Fisher College’s Wegmans School of Nursing on its ELNEC-Undergraduate Champions List.
The Hall of Fame list recognizes institutions that meet the educational standards of AACN Cares palliative care competencies for undergraduate nursing students. The competencies aim to prepare students to care for patients with serious illness.
The School of Nursing earned additional recognition from a college search site for schools of nursing. Its RN to BSN program was also ranked No. 3 in New York by Nursingprocess.org. According to the website, the ranking evaluated 37 RN to BSN programs across the state, comparing factors like NCLEX-RN pass rates, cost, graduation rates, student-to-faculty ratio, and faculty ratings.
