2020 Student Film Festival Goes Virtual
September 17, 2020
The 2020 St. John Fisher College Student Film Festival will once again run as part of Rochester’s annual Fringe Festival.
This year, the film festival will have a digital twist, with films available for free online viewing now through Saturday, Sept. 26.
The film festival features five productions from students in the Department of Media and Communication, including “The Remote Dispute,” “Evanesce,” “Lag Switch,” “Last First Date,” and “In The Shadows We Dance.” All of the films were produced as a part of two courses, Video Storytelling, taught by Dr. Todd Sodano and Cinematography and Editing, taught by Media Director Cecil Felton.
“Although the Fringe Festival is online this year, I’m pleased that this may give audiences the opportunity to see our students’ work from the convenience of their own home. As always, the work is superlative and inspiring,” said Jeremy Sarachan, chair of the department.
