PRIMA Hosts Diversity and Inclusion Panel
The PRIMA Group, St. John Fisher College’s student-run integrated advertising, public relations, and marketing firm, will host a panel discussion on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Event organizers say the discussion will be an exploration of what diversity and inclusion mean when it is applied in the workplace, focusing on what these concepts mean in practice, what skills are crucial, and how individuals can strengthen their organizations. The discussion will take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, via Zoom.
Three panelists—Annette Ramos, Erin Barry, and Jessica Lewis—will lead the discussion. Ramos is a community connector and arts educator known as the “Latina Storyteller.” She works to bring together diverse teams to generate equitable artistic and business opportunities in Rochester. Barry, Fisher’s director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, uses extensive experience in leadership to educate students on relationship management, leadership, strategic management, and community engagement. Lewis is the founder, president, and CEO of LáLew Public Relations, and also serves as the communications specialist for ROC the Future at The Children’s Agenda.
