Media Management Major Participates in NextGen Leadership Program
For 10 weeks this summer, St. John Fisher College student Riley Moscicki engaged in the NextGen Leadership Program hosted by WPP, an international advertising and marketing services group.
The virtual learning series connected more than 900 college students and young alumni from around the world with marketing and advertising experts as a way to foster learning and growth in the industry.
Moscicki, a media management major at the College, earned a LAGRANT Foundation Scholarship earlier this year. Through that scholarship, she has been able to connect with opportunities like the NextGen Leadership Program.
During the sessions, she heard from communications professionals working at international companies including Pfizer, WalMart, Tommy Hilfiger, and more.
“There was a new learning opportunity every week; topics included creating your own brand, inclusion and diversity, strategy - it was really exciting,” said Moscicki. “It gave me more perspective and the ability to look at these concepts through a wider lens.”
The program also gave her the chance to network with other college students and young professionals and access to a LinkedIn alumni group means she can stay connected and learn about webinars and resources that she can bring back to Fisher.
