10/18/2021 - Over the summer, the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center Board Room received significant upgrades and on Wednesday, Oct. 13, College officials gathered to formally acknowledge the philanthropists who made the enhancements possible. The event celebrated the renaming of the space the James ’71 and Kathleen Leo Community Room, in honor of their generosity.
10/18/2021 - Emily Trotman ’21, a marketing major and communications minor, transitioned from chair of the Teddi Dance for Love and softball star to executive assistant to the Dean of the School of Business.
10/15/2021 - Beginning this fall, all undergraduate students received their own iPad, keyboard case, and Apple Pencil as part of iFisher: Next Generation Learning Initiative, stemming from the College’s commitment to providing students with transformative experiences designed to help them achieve their educational goals and early career outcomes.
10/14/2021 - This year, four faculty members in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy are leading regional and state-wide professional pharmacy organizations. Through their leadership, these organizations are supporting students, uniting practitioners, and advocating for the profession.
10/13/2021 - Following a national search, the St. John Fisher College Department of Athletics is excited to introduce Ryne Morrison as the newest head coach of its wrestling team as the Cardinals gear up for competition in 2022 following a 38-year hiatus.
10/13/2021 - St. John Fisher College will host Fresh Check Day, a concept created by The Jordan Porco Foundation, to bring the whole campus community together to “check-in” on the mental health and wellness of Fisher students.
10/11/2021 - Guggenheim fellow and noted author and poet Stephen Kuusisto will read from his newest works during St. John Fisher College’s 2021 Cavanaugh Reading Series. Sponsored by the English Department, the event is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel, and is free and open to the public.
10/11/2021 - In a few short months, Riley Moscicki, a 2021 media management graduate from Batavia, New York, progressed from president of St. John Fisher College’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter to assistant account executive at Porter Novelli, a global leader in public relations.
10/11/2021 - Next in our series welcoming new faculty to Fisher, College News Highlights introduces Dr. Deborah A. Hurley, DNP, RN, CNL and Kathryn M. Ledwin, MS, FNP-C in the Wegmans School of Nursing.
10/07/2021 - This summer, the St. John Fisher College Alumni Board of Directors added four new members to its team. The Board, which serves to foster alumni engagement, encourage volunteerism, and grow fundraising efforts, is composed of alumni who serve three-year terms.
