Fisher Students Invited to Participate in Business Plan Competition
St. John Fisher College students from all majors with an interest in entrepreneurship are invited to participate in the New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) starting in January.
Last year, Fisher’s undergraduate team made it to the regional semi-finals.
For students running their own business or dreaming of starting one, this is a great opportunity to test the feasibility of ideas and receive valuable feedback from entrepreneurs. Students can also learn about ventures student peers are starting from other upstate institutions.
The competition includes two levels: the Finger Lakes Regional in March/early April and the state-wide track and grand final in mid-late April.
Applications for the competition will open in January and are due on Sunday, March 20. The regional competition will be held Wednesday, April 6, the state-wide finals will be held Wednesday, April 13, and the State-wide Grand Prize Finals will be held Wednesday, April 17.
More information about the competition can be found at NYBPC.org. For questions or to participate, email Dr. Sukruth Suresh, Fisher’s NYBPC faculty leader, at ssuresh@sjfc.edu.
