Do You Want to be a Face of Fisher?
The University is embarking on another new ad campaign and is looking for talent – no acting experience necessary. The only requirement? Fisher student status!
The Office of Marketing and Communications, in partnership with the University’s new agency – Dixon Schwabl + Company – will be hosting an open casting call on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel. All students are welcome and encouraged to stop in when convenient for them. Interview auditions will include a brief script read and a headshot will be taken by the production team. Students will also be asked to provide information including their phone number, email, and schedule availability the week of Oct. 24. Those cast will be scheduled during their available times – in between classes, club meetings, and athletic practices or competition.
When the University produced its current campaign, “I See Myself,” the casting call produced over 80 student actors and provided the team with stories of students they never knew.
“Holding an open casting call brings stories out from under the radar. We have so many amazing students on this campus and each make an impact on Fisher in some way,” said Kate Torok, director of marketing and communications. “We are looking forward to seeing which students come to this session and welcome all to be a part of our new campaign.”
Students, as well as faculty and staff who are cast, will appear in digital and print ads. The cast may also be featured on the website. The new campaign will debut in January 2023, at the start of the University’s 75th anniversary year.
