Fisher Faculty Present at AACP Meeting

Members of the Fisher pharmacy community attended the annual American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) meeting, held over the summer in Denver, Colorado.
During the meeting, several faculty members delivered podium presentations, roundtable discussions, or presented during the poster sessions, including:
- Anna Ratka participated in the roundtable presentation, NAPLEX first time pass rates in context of attrition
- Angela Nagel delivered the podium presentation, Overturning Reproductive Health Ethics: Changing Pharmacy Curricula with Changing Legislation
- Lipika Chablani delivered the podium presentation, Research to Residency: Engaging Pharmacy Students in Research and Scholarship.
- Akesha Edwards co-hosted the networking session, Health Disparities and Cultural Competencies SIG Networking Session
The following faculty members presented posters throughout the conference proceedings:

- Shawn Fellows: “Improving Student Matriculation and Retention in an Online Pharmacy Pathway”
- Akesha Edwards: “We are in This Together: Identifying Needs of Pharmacy Faculty for Formal Cultural Competency Training” and “Exploration of Emergency Preparedness Content in the Pharmacy Curriculum”
In addition, several faculty members have leadership roles within AACP. Chablani formally began her term as the chair elect for the pharmaceutics special interest group; Edwards began her term as chair-elect of the health disparities and cultural competence special interest group; and Fellows is serving as the 2023 AACP Faculty Delegate.
