Fisher Recognized for Transfer Student Outcomes
This November, the U.S. Department of Education released new data that spotlights two- and four-year institutions who are best promoting transfer students’ success and highlighting the most productive transfer partnerships between community college and bachelors’ degree institutions in the country.
St. John Fisher University was included in the chart highlighting four-year institutions with the highest transfer bachelor’s completion rate for Title IV students, by state. Fisher’s community college transfer student completion rate is 78 percent. The report uses data from the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at the U.S. Department of Education to measure the performance of the U.S. postsecondary education system.
Following the release of the report, Spectrum News reporter Dana Damiani stopped by campus to chat with Holly Smith, associate director of transfer and graduate admissions, and transfer student Grace Tursi ’24, to learn more about how Fisher supports students as they transfer to the University.
