Lunch Discussions Build Community at Fisher

The Office of Campus Ministry, Interfaith Council, and Interfaith Learning Circle will be hosting its second lunch and discussion gathering from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Fr. Joseph A. Trovato, CSB Campus Ministry Center.

The gatherings provide the space to share individual experiences about worldview and faith identity. At the November gathering, questions will focus on how persons or ideas from another worldview created inspiration or action.

At the Thursday, Dec. 7 gathering, the conversation will explore experiences of conflict between different worldviews, and in the spirit of the season, where hope exists in the world.

“Our hope with the Interfaith Council lunch and discussions is to build community and awareness around the pluralistic community that exists at Fisher and in the world,” said Sarah Mancini-Goebert, assistant director of campus ministry. “We are a stronger, more unified, and helpful campus when we know about one another and can understand our differences and recognize our similarities. The lunch and discussion gatherings are an opportunity to get to know members of our community in a relaxed and non-intimidating way by sharing a meal with one another.”
