November 1, 2024

Throughout the week of October 21, the St. John Fisher University chapter of the American Marketing Association (SJF AMA) hosted its annual Marketing Week.

“The purpose of marketing week is to provide students with networking opportunities and learning skills that they can use in the business world,” said Johnny Aiello, president of SJF AMA. He added that Marketing Week provides students with the chance to learn more about the marketing profession and business beyond the classroom.

During this year’s Marketing Week, students learned about the social media skills required to create a brand and promote a business. The session was led by Fisher alumnus Mike Thomas, owner and CEO of Thomas Media Group and founder of the “In Good Company” podcast.

Students also learned about the company AeroSafe Global, which is leading the charge for environmental sustainability and creating net zero carbon emissions. At another event, students had the opportunity to listen to and gain advice from Lisa Bowman, the chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association.

The week concluded with a celebratory cornhole tournament.
