Fisher Family Weekend is Fun for the Whole Flock

Family Weekend is back at St. John Fisher University! Happening Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20, Family Weekend promises to offer fun for the whole family.

Early bird tickets are now available for purchase for $15 per family ($20 per family after Friday, Oct. 11). Bring the whole family for a weekend of Fisher fun with food, music, games, and more!

Friday, Oct. 18

Wearhouse Sale
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Donald E. Bain Campus Center Atrium

Browse the many vendors and pick up a fun, new item at the “wearhouse” sale!

Check-In Table & Explore Rochester

3 to 6 p.m., Donald E. Bain Campus Center Atrium

Check in with the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership to get your tote bag, pick up your Food Truck Rodeo tickets, and ask any questions you have about Family Weekend! Stop by the Visit Rochester table next to check-in to learn about things you can do in Rochester, and then go explore.

Sam Patch Boat Cruise

4:45 to 6:30 p.m., Sam Patch Ticket Office (12 Schoen Place, Pittsford)

Enjoy a scenic boat tour along the historic Erie Canal. You’ll learn about the history of Rochester’s waterways, see beautiful sights along the canal, and have a chance to explore the Village of Pittsford before or after the tour. A cash bar will be available on board. Tickets ($10 per person) must be purchased in advance through Family Weekend registration.

Dinner

4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Ward-Haffey Dining Hall

Enjoy a discounted rate in the dining hall, or visit one of Rochester’s many incredible restaurants (a list of Fisher favorites is below).

Twisted Trivia with Game Night Roc

8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall

Join Game Night Roc for a night of trivia with a few fun twists and classic Fisher favorite foods! Tickets ($3 per person) must be purchased in advance through Family Weekend registration.

Saturday, Oct. 19

Campus Walking Tour

10:30 to 11:15 a.m., Donald E. Bain Campus Center Atrium

Join University Archivist Nancy Greco for a walking tour around campus! You’ll learn fun facts and interesting history about Fisher!

Parking Lot Party and Fisher Field Hockey

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Growney Stadium

Enjoy snacks and a limited-edition giveaway before cheering on the Fisher field hockey team as they face off against Hartwick College.

Fall Fest

2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Various Campus Locations

Celebrate all things fall with pumpkin painting, hay rides, board games, crafts, kettle corn, apple cider, donuts, and more! Find refreshments on Upper Quad, pick-up the Hay Ride in M Lot, enjoy crafts and games at the Terrace at Tepas Commons, and sit for a complimentary family portrait in LeChase Commons.

Parking Lot Party and Fisher Football

2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Growney Stadium

Enjoy snacks and a limited-edition giveaway before Fisher football takes on Hartwick College at 3 p.m.

Food Truck Rodeo

5 to 7 p.m., Upper Quad and the Terrace at Tepas Commons

Get dinner from a food truck and enjoy live music from Fisher’s very own employee band, Big Tuna and the Fishermen! There will also be s’mores and lawn games. Food truck tickets ($10) must be purchased in advance through Family Weekend registration.

Parking Lot Party and Fisher Soccer

6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Growney Stadium

Enjoy snacks and a limited-edition giveaway before the women’s soccer team plays Hartwick College under the lights at Growney.

Arts Center at Murphy Hall Open House

7 to 8 p.m., Arts Center at Murphy Hall

Celebrate the new arts center on campus! Take a tour of the black box theater and its surrounding practice rooms, explore the resources that students have access to, and learn about upcoming performances by student groups!

Danny H: Comedy Magician

8 to 9:30 p.m., Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall 

Danny H is an award-winning magician that puts on a hilarious, mind-blowing magic and mentalism show! His unique blend of magic and comedy has entertained audiences all over the country. Prepare to laugh, cry, and be amazed with Danny’s unique take on the art of magic!

Movie Night: “Knives Out”

8 to 10 p.m., Basil Hall 135

Family drama takes center stage in, “Knives Out,” a modern murder mystery starring Daniel Craig alongside an exceptional ensemble cast. Popcorn will be provided!

Sunday, Oct. 20

Annual Teddi Trot

Time TBD, Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center

Grab the family for a fun color run/walk while supporting the Teddi Dance for Love Committee.
