October 14, 2024

St. John Fisher University honored 64 employees for milestone years of service during the annual Service Awards Ceremony, held on Thursday, Oct. 10.

In all, the employees recognized during the ceremony have given 760 years of service to Fisher, and have seen the University experience remarkable change and growth.

“The work that each of you do day in and day out ensures that Fisher remains true to its mission and history, while remaining student-focused in our efforts to best serve those we have the privilege of serving,” said President Gerard J. Rooney, at the luncheon. “Your dedication to our campus community, to our students, and to each other has allowed Fisher to grow into the outstanding university that it is today.”

The most senior member of the group was Clarence Norman, who celebrated a 30-year career at Fisher. When Norman arrived in 1994, Fisher’s total enrollment was 2,400 and the institution introduced the Fisher Commitment to graduates to show its confidence in the effectiveness of a Fisher education.
