Fisher to Host Theater Festival
This spring, students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to participate in a one-act play festival in the new Black Box Theater in the Arts Center in Murphy Hall.
An information meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 in the Black Box Theater for anyone interested in participating in the festival.
Students also have the opportunity to receive one credit for participation (register for ARTS 115: CRN: 29479). The one-credit course runs in the first half of the spring semester. Registration for the class is optional and not required.
Students may participate as an actor, director, writer, or backstage crew (e.g., stage manager, house manager, sound board operator, light board operator). In addition, faculty and staff may participate as actors.
Auditions will be conducted only to determine role—everyone is guaranteed a part if they wish to perform.
Performances will be held on Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025.
Interested students, faculty, and staff should fill out the Festival Interest Form. According to festival organizer Jeremy Sarachan, associate professor in the Department of Media and Communication, the form provides a means to express interest and is not a commitment to participate.
