04/06/2019 - Orlando native Andrés Ramírez ’22 has been selected to participate in the 2019 Summer Freshman Enhancement Program at Morgan Stanley in New York City.
04/05/2019 - The Research Writing essay is a fixture of the first-year student experience at Fisher. Research Writing 199 is taken in the spring of the freshman year, after the Learning Community, and serves as the foundation of the core courses and an important place that students develop their skills in college-level research, analysis, and writing.
04/04/2019 - On Saturday, March 23, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held a hooding and awards ceremony for graduates of the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership program at Iona College, one of two extension sites where the program is offered.
04/03/2019 - Students, faculty, and staff at St. John Fisher College raised more than $1,000 during the annual Wheels ‘N Steals basketball game.
04/03/2019 - Lavery Library selected Dr. Char Smith, DNS, MSEd, WHNP, RN-BC, CNE, ANEF, as the recipient of the 2019 Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award. The award honors faculty members at St. John Fisher College who serve as an advocate for information literacy, promoting it both on campus among students and faculty, and beyond.
04/02/2019 - St. John Fisher College is among 78 colleges and universities named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s 2019 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of the dynamic pathways the College has created to support transfer students.
04/01/2019 - Through the month of April, reproductions of Frederick Douglass photographs will be on display at the Douglass Auditorium through a partnership between St. John Fisher College and local organization 540WMain Communiversity, located in the Susan B. Anthony District of Downtown Rochester.
04/01/2019 - St. John Fisher College honored Lauren Gleba Burns ’82 as its 2019 Accounting Alumnus of the Year during the 30th annual Accounting Awards Banquet, held on Thursday, March 28.
04/01/2019 - The St. John Fisher College Master of Public Health program will host a community conversation about the future role and potential of emerging health information technology as a critical resource for addressing patterns of basic health needs for both local and global populations. The event runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, in the Skalny Welcome Center Board Room.
04/01/2019 - For the final two Saturdays in March, St. John Fisher College students volunteered their time to the annual Color the Roc event, organized by the community service club, Students Who Advocate Volunteering (SWAV). SWAV strives to provide Fisher students with opportunities to engage with service throughout the school year.
