04/01/2019 - Madison Seamon’s advice to incoming freshmen is simple: get involved in things that will make you happy. If her campus involvement résumé is any indication, she has had a joy-filled Fisher experience. Nominated by Jackie Bokor, assistant director of campus life, Seamon is the next featured senior in the Countdown to Commencement video series.
04/01/2019 - Colleges Against Cancer at St. John Fisher College will host Relay for Life, the annual 12-hour cancer awareness walk-a-thon, from noon to midnight on Saturday, April 6, in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center.
03/29/2019 - More than 1,000 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral candidates will graduate from St. John Fisher College during its 65th Commencement on Saturday, May 11. Before they cross the stage to receive their diplomas, the College will honor three individuals for their lifetime commitment to advocacy on behalf of the Rochester community.
03/29/2019 - Last weekend marked the sixth annual Gilda’s Cup, an improv comedy competition that raises funds for Gilda’s Club of Rochester. The PRIMA Group, Fisher’s student-run, full-service advertising agency, spends two semesters working with Gilda’s House to prepare.
03/28/2019 - More than 200 area K-12 educators and counselors gained knowledge and information on the timely topic of relationship-based trauma sensitive approaches in schools during a professional development event sponsored by the Executive Leadership program at St. John Fisher College.
03/27/2019 - A member of the Irish parliament told an audience at the St. Thomas More Dinner and Lecture at St. John Fisher College that the ethical purpose of politics is to work at improving the life of all people.
03/25/2019 - Four members of the St. John Fisher College community will participate in the Council of Independent College’s 2019 Diversity, Civility, and the Liberal Arts Institute. Fisher joins a list of 25 colleges and universities from across the country in participating in the Institute.
03/25/2019 - A partnership between the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education at St. John Fisher College and Shortwood Teachers College in Kingston, Jamaica once again gave three students from each college the chance to experience education from a new perspective.
03/25/2019 - Last year, more than 3,000 Fisher students spent a combined 400,000 hours engaged in a wide range of community service programs. On Wednesday, March 20, the Ann B. and Martin F. Birmingham Student Volunteer Award ceremony recognized two students, Emily Dwyer and Mary Grace Shine, for their exceptional dedication to service.
03/22/2019 - On Thursday, March 21, St. John Fisher College alumni, faculty, staff, and students came together to show their collective Fisher love during the first-ever I Heart Fisher Day of Giving.
