Countdown to Commencement: Ali Dedicke

Fisher was the last school Ali Dedicke visited in her college search, and like most students, she says she fell in love with the campus and the people during that visit and knew it was the school for her. The psychology major is our next featured senior in the 2019 Countdown to Commencement series, and she was nominated by Matt Berry, assistant director of freshman admissions.

Dedicke spent three years on the Teddi Dance for Love Committee, served as a tutor for some of her psychology classes, and has been a familiar face on campus tours working as a student ambassador. Her sophomore year, she applied to be a member of the Core Team for the Office of Admissions, and today works as the tour coordinator, which she has enjoyed.

“Ali is the most ‘go to’ member of the Core Team for our ambassador community,” said Berry. “She often handles the day to day management of the program and is often looked at as a leader by our ambassadors.”

He said she is always on top of filling tour requests, assigning ambassadors, and handling any issues that arise. Without her, he said he would not be able to supervise the program.
