Countdown to Commencement: Anthony Loussedes
Anthony Loussedes has always loved baseball. At Fisher, he found a new path for his sport. Loussedes, a sport management major, is the next senior to be featured in the 2019 Countdown to Commencement series; he was nominated by Jen Granger, business manager and compliance coordinator for the Athletics Department.
On top of being a member of the baseball team through his entire Fisher experience, Loussedes has taken advantage of other involvement opportunities on campus. He has been a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as co-chair in 2017 and 2018. He has also been involved with the Sport Management Club and NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. In his senior year, he has served on the President’s Student Advisory Board.
According to Granger, Loussedes’ involvement with SAAC has included fan and spectator recruitment for all sports competitions. He has also been responsible for coordinating several community service events for the committee.
“His enthusiasm and positivity has definitely changed me and the way that I work with students,” said Granger.
Loussedes’ advice for freshmen is to “pursue what you want to pursue, and never doubt what you can do as a student.”
