Countdown to Commencement: Madison Seamon
Madison Seamon’s advice to incoming freshmen is simple: get involved in things that will make you happy. If her campus involvement résumé is any indication, she has had a joy-filled Fisher experience. Nominated by Jackie Bokor, assistant director of campus life, Seamon is the next featured senior in the Countdown to Commencement video series.
During her time on campus, Seamon has been a student ambassador in the Office of Admissions and served on the Student Prevention Outreach Team as a sophomore. Early on, she discovered the Student Activities Board, and became involved as a programmer. This year, she is the president of the organization. As a nursing major, she is also vice president of the Student Nurses Association. Most years, she has played a role in welcoming new students and celebrating graduating students volunteering for Orientation, Great Beginnings, and Senior Week.
Bokor said that she will miss Seamon’s positive energy and upbeat attitude, and that her impact has been broad.
“Her innovative ideas for SAB programming have made this year the best the events have been in some time,” said Bokor. “She also empowers her peers and helps them to see the big picture in situations. I can count on her to tell me the story of why what students are doing on campus matters.”
