The Review Now Seeking Submissions
Each year, the Honors Program publishes The Review, Fisher’s undergraduate research journal featuring original, scholarly work from students. The submission period for the 2019 issue is now open, and the editors are encouraging students from across Schools and disciplines to consider submitting.
The goal of The Review is to give students the opportunity to publish their most outstanding academic work for audiences both within and beyond Fisher.
“It is highly marketable to be able to demonstrate that your work has been published. Future employers will be interested to see that you have the passion for the subject area, the necessary writing skills, and the willingness to take the initiative to get your work published,” said Editor and Honors student Gabby Kielbasinski ’19. “To me, the potential pay-off of submitting your work and the lack of cost means that sending a submission is a total win-win for our participants.”
Submission guidelines include:
- Anonymous submissions (please remove your name prior to submitting)
- Must be between 5-20 pages
- Must have been written in the last year
- Foreign language papers and poster presentations are also accepted
- Can be from any major or discipline (including a class that is not related to a student’s major)
All submissions are due by March 10, and can be submitted online. Submissions are blindly reviewed, and authors will be notified by March 22 if their submission has been chosen for publication.
If you are interested but still have questions, members of the editorial board will be on hand to provide more information about the process on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m. and again on Friday, Feb. 22, from 11 – 12:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Atrium.
