St. John Fisher College Freezes Tuition for Upcoming Academic Year

St. John Fisher College officials announced a one-year tuition freeze earlier today, confirming that the cost of attendance will remain stable for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year.

The College's budgeting process included a planned 2.95% increase for tuition, room and board, and fees for the 2020-2021 academic year. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial impacts already felt by so many families, the College’s administration has committed to keeping costs at the prior year’s level.

“We made this decision as we make all of our decisions - considering what is best for our students and families and our continued commitment to maintaining the affordability of a Fisher education,” said Dr. Gerard J. Rooney, president of the College.  “We hope that this action will assist our families in a positive way in an otherwise uncertain time.”

For full-time undergraduate students, this will mean a savings of nearly $1,500 for residential students, and $1,200 for commuter students.  The cost of attendance for graduate programs will remain at the current level, providing consistent savings for graduate students.

In addition, the College has also announced that the summer 2020 semester will transition fully to online instruction and undergraduate courses will be offered at a reduced rate.
