05/26/2021 - Earlier today, Dr. Gerard J. Rooney, president of St. John Fisher College, announced that the College is planning to hold in-person Commencement ceremonies to honor the Class of 2020 during Alumni Weekend, September 17-19, 2021.
05/24/2021 - Sophomore Lauren Swartz of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team became the College's first-ever Elite 90 award recipient. She was honored on Friday, May 21, during the NCAA Division III National Championship, held in Salem, Va.
05/18/2021 - Wastewater monitoring is a promising tool for COVID-19 surveillance, according to a new paper published in the International Journal of Environmental Public Health. Researchers from the University of Rochester co-led this study, which synthesizes initial wastewater surveillance efforts at 25 colleges and universities from across the country, including St. John Fisher College.
05/17/2021 - After a nationwide search, St. John Fisher College has named one of its own as its new senior diversity officer. Dr. Marlowe V.N. Washington, an alumnus of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education’s Doctor of Executive Leadership (Ed.D.) program, will officially begin in his role on June 1.
05/12/2021 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College officially welcomed its on-campus first-year students into the pharmacy profession during the annual White Coat Ceremony, held on Monday, May 10.
05/10/2021 - Student-athletes at St. John Fisher College engaged in post-season play while their peers crossed the stage during the College’s 67th Commencement ceremonies. After a winning weekend, student-athletes were also able to experience pomp and circumstance during a special Student-Athlete Commencement held on Monday, May 10.
05/09/2021 - This Commencement season, three members of the St. John Fisher College faculty were named recipients of the College’s most prestigious scholarship and teaching honors.
05/08/2021 - During a Commencement ceremony held on Saturday, May 8, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education bestowed baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees on more than 120 graduates.
05/08/2021 - In her speech to members of the School of Arts and Sciences Class of 2021, graduate Mary Grace Shine reflected on the memory of officially matriculating at the College in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center Fieldhouse, remarking on how fitting it seemed to complete her journey in the same room four years later.
05/07/2021 - On Friday, May 7, the School of Business conferred on members of the Class of 2021 bachelor’s degrees in human resources management, marketing, finance, accounting, management, and master of business administration.
