Writer JR Fenn to Deliver Spring Cavanaugh Craft Talk
Author JR Fenn will discuss the craft of writing during St. John Fisher College’s 2021 Cavanaugh Reading Series.
Sponsored by the English Department, the event is scheduled for 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, via Zoom (Meeting ID 942 8733 3889). The event is open to Fisher students, staff, and faculty.
During the talk, Fenn will be discussing their story “Athena Dreams of a Hollow Body,” which was published in a special issue of The Boston Review entitled “Global Dystopias.” Fenn’s work has appeared in The Boston Review, Gulf Coast, Pank, DIAGRAM, and Versal, among other publications. Fenn lives and writes in western New York with their family.
As the companion piece to the Fall Cavanaugh Reading Series, the Spring Cavanaugh Craft Talk provides a unique opportunity for the Fisher community to hear from a contemporary writer about issues of craft, narrative, theme, discipline, writing process, and publication.
