Youth Year, Urban Fellows Programs Now Accepting Applications
Two service-oriented programs in the Rochester area are now accepting applications.
Rochester Urban Fellows is a full-time summer position for area students interested in working in a leadership capacity with a local non-profit. The Urban Fellows program includes enriching field experiences with community organizations, weekend cultural excursions, and free housing on the University of Rochester campus. The Urban Fellows application is due Friday, Feb. 25.

Sponsored by Americorps VISTA, the Rochester Youth Year program is a year-long paid full-time position where Fellows engage in capacity-building work with human service agencies focusing on housing, food insecurity, environmental sustainability, youth development, and financial literacy. VISTA Fellows receive substantive experience creating and leading initiatives in Rochester non-profits, monthly personal and professional development opportunities, a modest living stipend, a substantial education award for loans or higher education, a health care allowance for copay and deductibles, and an opportunity for tuition discount scholarships at some graduate schools. The Rochester Youth Year application is due Friday, April 1.
