Join the Fisher Family for a Campus-wide Volunteer Day
On Saturday, April 22, join St. John Fisher University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families in giving back to the community during Fisher Family Volunteer Day.
An annual day for alumni, this year’s event is campus-wide in honor of the University’s 75th anniversary, and celebrates all the ways in which Fisher community members positively impact and connect with the Greater Rochester region through service.
Volunteers can perform grounds work and environmental clean-up from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rochester Museum and Science Center or Durand Eastman Beach.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., volunteers at Saint’s Place or Mount Hope Cemetery can sort and organize donations or support outdoor landscape and clean-up efforts.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus, volunteers will wrap gifts, assemble gift bags, and make cards to deliver joy to children in the Rochester, Rome, and Buffalo school districts through Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha.
Finally, Taproot Collective will host a community gardening effort from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., while volunteers at Habitat for Humanity will be working on a current home building project from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Volunteer site registration is now available online, and volunteers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not wait, sign up today!
