Class of 2023: Get Ready to Celebrate Senior Week
To mark their graduation and transition from students to alumni, the St. John Fisher University Class of 2023 will celebrate Senior Week, held from Saturday, May 6 through Thursday, May 11, just ahead of Commencement Weekend.
With 13 events, seniors will have the option to select tickets to attend individual events or purchase a full access ticket for all events, and receive a custom 2023 Senior Week t-shirt.
The week’s signature events begin with the Senior Brunch, held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, in Cleary Family Auditorium.
On Monday, May 8, the Last Lecture will be held at 11 a.m. in the Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great. Later that evening, students will dance the night away from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Senior Gala, held at the Jackrabbit Club. Students may drive or RSVP for transportation. Buses will pick up seniors at the Haffey Hall steps, with departure time set for 4:45 p.m.
The Senior Olympics will be held at Growney Stadium at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, and feature competition in traditional track and field day events. Interested participants can now register an Olympic team online.
To round out the week, the Office of Institutional Advancement will host its annual Fisher for Life event at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, in the William J. Pellicano Pavilion. Students will enjoy food and drinks, music, and a cap decorating station. The afternoon will close with a “Blessing of the Caps” with the Office of Campus Ministry.
Additional can’t-miss events include Senior Sunrise, Paint & Sip with Mrs. Rooney, a Beer and Wine Tasting, and hike through Mendon Ponds Park. Students can also cheer on the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday, May 9; transportation is provided, with buses departing at 5:30 p.m. from the Haffey Hall steps.
