Sam Carter Named Teddi Dance for Love Honorary Chair

Sam Carter, weekday morning reporter for 13WHAM ABC and FOX Rochester, will cheer on St. John Fisher University students as they dance for 24 hours during the 2023 Teddi Dance for Love. Carter will serve as honorary chair of the annual dance-a-thon to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times. The dance will be held from 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 through 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.

The committee and Camp Good Days selected Carter in recognition of his dedication to promoting nonprofit and community engagement on Good Day Rochester. 13WHAM and FOX Rochester regularly feature the good work of Camp and each year, highlight Fisher students before, during, and after the Teddi Dance.

As honorary chair, Carter will help the Teddi Committee celebrate the week leading up to the dance, serving as a co-host of the Very Beary Brunch on Monday, Feb. 13. He will also help kick-off the main event on Friday and encourage students as they dance for love.

“We are honored to have Sam as our Honorary Chair and excited for him to bring his energy and enthusiasm to campus for the dance,” said Alyssa Klonowski ’23, chair of the Teddi Committee.
