04/01/2024 - Next to be featured in our “Countdown to Commencement” series is Emily Sullivan, a student majoring in inclusive childhood education. Sullivan was nominated by Dr. Sue Schultz, professor of education, and Sarah Mancini-Goebert, assistant director of campus ministry.
03/29/2024 - Rochester is poised to witness a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, marking a significant astronomical event for the region. This occurrence will be the first total solar eclipse in Rochester since January 24, 1925, and it won’t happen again until October 26, 2144. To celebrate this historic event, St. John Fisher University will be hosting multiple events in the week leading up to the eclipse.

03/28/2024 - St. John Fisher University will celebrate the achievements of alumni and students during the 34th Annual Accounting Awards Celebration on Tuesday, April 23, at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. A networking reception will begin at 5 p.m. with the dinner and program beginning at 6 p.m.
03/28/2024 - During the Fall Qualifier of Certiport’s 2024 Microsoft Office Specialist United States National Championship, eight St. John Fisher University students secured positions in the top 10.
03/27/2024 - St. John Fisher University has been recognized as a 2024-25 Military Friendly School in a list published by Viqtory Media. Fisher was categorized as a private university that offers a doctorate and was given a gold ranking, indicating that the institution was within 10% of the 10th-ranked organization. The University was also acknowledged as a military spouse-friendly school.
03/27/2024 - The activity of construction at the site of the Lavery Library Modernization and Renovation Project is in part thanks to the planned gift of St. John Fisher University alumnus Leon Creek ’60.
03/26/2024 - This spring, the School of Arts and Sciences reorganized its departments and programs into six dynamic divisions, creating spaces for interdisciplinary collaboration among students and faculty.
03/26/2024 - St. John Fisher University inducted Dr. Robert W. Loss, Jr. ’74 into the Science and Technology Hall of Fame during a ceremony held on Tuesday, March 19.
