Fisher Alumnus Honored by New York State Society of CPAs
In April, St. John Fisher University alumna Adrianna Carfagna ’23, ’24 (MNA) was given an Outstanding College Student Award by the Rochester chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA).
The award is given to one student from each of the seven upstate New York universities. Awardees are chosen based on their excellent academic focus and a passion for the accounting profession.
Carfagna was joined in celebration by her parents, June and Vince Carfagna, fellow Fisher MBA student John Koppen, Fisher accounting faculty Erica Sysol, Chris Liucci, and Dr. Marwa Soliman, as well as accounting alumnus Cheryl Yawman ’86.
While an undergraduate at Fisher, Carfagna majored in accounting and finance. She was a member of the Honors Program and a perennial member of the Dean’s List. In 2023, she was also given the Charles P. Wolfe Award by the School of Business.
