Fisher Showcase Now Accepting Proposals
The submission period for students, faculty, and staff to share research or creative work at the 2024 Fisher Showcase is open. Now in its second year, the Fisher Showcase combines the former Student Research and Creative Work Symposium with the Fisher Scholarship Celebration to highlight the academic pursuits of the entire campus community.
Hosted by the Library Committee and the Office of the Provost, the Fisher Showcase will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26, in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center Fieldhouse.
At the event, Fisher students will be able to share project outcomes, fulfill presentation obligations, and showcase research endeavors. Staff members can exhibit their contributions to departmental and University-wide initiatives and ready themselves for conferences at various levels. Additionally, faculty can use this platform to produce grant proposals, engage in student recruitment for projects, practice poster presentations for conferences, or display previously presented pieces.
Examples of work that are eligible for submission include Honors projects, funded and submitted grants, creative works, experiential and scholarly efforts, CORE projects, internships, new initiatives, ongoing projects, previously published work, and more.
Submissions will be accepted through Friday, April 12. Upon submitting a proposal, individuals will be enrolled in a Brightspace course with details on how to prepare for the Showcase. Early registration is suggested to maximize preparation time. For more information, visit the Showcase webpage.
