03/07/2025 - The executive leadership program will host a free leadership speaker series throughout the month of March featuring a former dean and program alumni from across the state, including Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, and the greater Westchester and New York City area. The series will focus on care and compassion for effective organizational leadership.

02/24/2025 - The next student featured is first-generation student Degraj Suberi. A dedicated and diligent scholar, he is pursuing a double major in physics and math, with a minor in computer science. Suberi was nominated by Megan Walker, TRIO Student Support Services advisor, for his outstanding commitment and academic achievements.

02/20/2025 - As a former undergraduate student-athlete, Stevenson University alumna Alyssa Gibson recalls a lack of mental health resources offered that encourage the success of student-athletes. When she joined the Health and Wellness Center at Fisher as an intern, Gibson’s goal was to combine her bachelor’s degree in psychology with her passion for sports.

02/20/2025 - Three competitive fellowship and scholarship opportunities are now available to Fisher students.

02/19/2025 - In the spring and fall 2024 semesters, Dr. Fernando Ontiveros, associate professor of biology, worked with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester on a National Science Foundation (NSF) Partnership for Innovation grant that helped fund a student research experience.

02/18/2025 - St. John Fisher University announced Ed Raby, Jr. as the new head coach of the Fisher football program.

02/17/2025 - Next fall, the School of Arts and Sciences at St. John Fisher University will begin offering a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services.

02/15/2025 - Fisher Alumnus and Trustee William G. Clark ’78 was honored during the Urban League of Rochester’s 60th Anniversary Gala for his decades of service to the organization and for his significant contributions to advancing equity and opportunity in Rochester.

02/13/2025 - Learn about the growth of health and wellness care at St. John Fisher University during the March Friday Lecture featuring Rebecca Kieffer ’96, LCSW-R, director of the University’s Health and Wellness Center.

02/13/2025 - The St. John Fisher University 71st Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 with five ceremonies celebrating bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree recipients. This year, the University is seeking student speakers through a nomination process open to all members of the campus community. Students may also self-nominate.
