03/06/2025 - Noted scholar and professional dancer Dr. Mark Broomfield will discuss intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and dance during the annual Cavanaugh Reading Series at St. John Fisher University.

03/05/2025 - The Rochester Business Journal presented Dr. Marilyn Dollinger, DNS FNP RN, emeritus professor at the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University, with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2025 Healthcare Hero Awards.

03/04/2025 - Dr. Jeremiah Zartman, associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Notre Dame, will deliver the annual Loss Lecture at St. John Fisher University.

02/24/2025 - The next student featured is first-generation student Degraj Suberi. A dedicated and diligent scholar, he is pursuing a double major in physics and math, with a minor in computer science. Suberi was nominated by Megan Walker, TRIO Student Support Services advisor, for his outstanding commitment and academic achievements.

02/20/2025 - As a former undergraduate student-athlete, Stevenson University alumna Alyssa Gibson recalls a lack of mental health resources offered that encourage the success of student-athletes. When she joined the Health and Wellness Center at Fisher as an intern, Gibson’s goal was to combine her bachelor’s degree in psychology with her passion for sports.

02/20/2025 - Three competitive fellowship and scholarship opportunities are now available to Fisher students.

02/19/2025 - In the spring and fall 2024 semesters, Dr. Fernando Ontiveros, associate professor of biology, worked with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester on a National Science Foundation (NSF) Partnership for Innovation grant that helped fund a student research experience.

02/18/2025 - St. John Fisher University announced Ed Raby, Jr. as the new head coach of the Fisher football program.

02/17/2025 - Next fall, the School of Arts and Sciences at St. John Fisher University will begin offering a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services.
