Cardinal Awards Celebrate Student Life at Fisher

April 11, 2025

The Student Government Association (SGA) rolled out the red carpet to celebrate a year of active clubs and organizations, creative events, and students who contributed to the fabric of student life on campus.

Two students celebrate at the 2025 Cardinal Awards.

The annual Cardinal Awards, held on Wednesday, Apil 9, offered the Fisher community a chance to recognize the accomplishments of campus leaders and student organizations throughout the year.

During the ceremony, SGA President Brooke Chase recapped a year full of success.

“This ceremony celebrates the hard work and dedication you contribute to our campus community each and every day. The Fisher community is a special group and your efforts make all the difference,” she told the crowd. “I want to recognize the SGA e-board for all their hard work. This team has gone above and beyond to advocate for their peers and always strive to make Fisher a great place for all. I am incredibly proud of the work completed by the SGA this past year and I am grateful I had the privilege to work alongside many of these amazing student leaders.”

Dr. Matha Thorton, vice president for student affairs and dean of students, also offered remarks.

“This year, we’ve seen clubs and organizations thrive in new ways—hosting events that drew record audiences, launching initiatives that made a real and tangible impact, and supporting one another through both challenges and triumphs,” she said. “And all of it was powered by you—your ideas, your energy, your commitment. Thank you. We are so very proud of you.”
