Green is the New Red: Cardinals to host Eco-Friendly Events for Earth Day
Celebrate sustainability in style this Earth Day—Tuesday, April 22—with a lineup of campus activities and events.
The Sustainability Program in the School of Arts and Sciences will host the eighth e-scrap for camp electronics recycling event, benefiting Camp Good Days and Special Times, starting on Tuesday, April 22.
The collection bin will be located in the lobby near the Integrated Science and Health Sciences building, room 116 . General items such as TVs and radios can be dropped off into the bins at any time through Thursday, May 8.
The drive is for any acceptable personal items one might bring from home—students are encouraged to participate with family and friends at no cost. For Fisher owned property such as computers, iPads, and anything purchased through OIT, contact OIT for disposal.
The Biology Club will host an event for students to pot flowers and decorate their own pots in Campus Center from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Food will be provided. In addition, the Nature Club will have tables for students to plant native and biodegradable plants, promoting native plant growth and healthy pollinators.
Join the Student Activities Board (SAB) in planting vegetables and herbs on the Tepas Commons patio at 7 p.m. Supplies will be provided.
The Office of Campus Ministry will be hosting a resource table from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Campus Center featuring resources from the “One Home One Future” campaign—an alliance of faith-based organizations and their individual commitment to protecting the environment.
