Cavanaugh Dialogues Explore Artificial Intelligence

January 29, 2025

This year, the Cavanaugh Dialogues will take on a new format, bringing together faculty members from across campus to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on society.

Dr. Barbara Lowe, professor of philosophy; Dr. Guillermo Montes, professor of education; Dr. Henry Moscicki, assistant professor nursing; and Dr. Nancy Rourke, assistant professor of religious studies.

The program, sponsored by the School of Arts and Sciences, will run from 3:10 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, in Basil 135.

Four faculty members will engage in dialogue—differ, debate, and seek common ground—around the issue of artificial intelligence and its potential to either enhance or undermine human dignity. Panelists include Dr. Barbara Lowe, professor of philosophy; Dr. Guillermo Montes, professor in the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership program; Dr. Henry Moscicki, assistant professor nursing; and Dr. Nancy Rourke, assistant professor of religious studies.
